Birthplace of John Luther Long A distinguished son of Hanover, Pennsylvania Lawyer, Playwright, Novelist 1855-1927 Author of Madame Butterfly Source of famous Puccini opera and many other stories and plays. The community erects this tablet in acknowledgement of the honor he has bought to his native town. Dedicated by the Beethoven Club of Hanover April 4, 1948 Rededicated by the Hanover YWCA Garden Club September 17, 1991
