1. Virginia War Museum Marker
Inscription. The main gallery of the War Memorial Museum was erected in 1953-54 under an appropriation of the 1952 General Assembly of Virginia

The rear gallery was erected in 1941 under the Joint Appropriations of the 1940 General Assembly and the Council of the City of Newport News
 
Location. 37° 1.174′ N, 76° 27.214′ W. Marker is in Newport News, Virginia. Marker can be reached from Kawana Circle west of Warwick Boulevard (U.S. 60), on the right when traveling south. Touch for map. The marker is located in Huntington Park on the wall to the entrance to the War Musuem.
