La Municipalidad de la ciudad de Chalatenango, conciente del alto espiritu patriotico de nuestra fuerza armada del heroismo y sacrificio del soldado caido en combate en defensa de la patria como un reconocimiento a dichos heroes acuerda: Nominar al parque central de esta ciudad: "Heroes del Cerron Grande" dado en la Alcaldia Municipal: Chalatenango a los doce dias del mes de octubre de mil novecientos ochenta y cuatro.

English: The Municipalidad of Chalatenango, conscious of the patriotic spirit of our armed forces and of the heroism and sacrifice of the soldiers fallen in combat in defense of the country, as a recognition of these heroes, names the Central Park of the city: "Heroes of Cerron Grande", given by the Mayor´s office of Chalatenango, October 12, 1984.
