1. King Edward I Statue Marker
Plaque located on statue of Edward I
Inscription. King Edward I died in Burgh-by-Sands on 7 July 1307 whilst leading a campaign against Robert the Bruce. He was laid in St. Michael's Church.

This plaque was unveiled by HRH The Duke of Kent, KG, GCMG, GCVO

on 3 July to mark the installation of this statue, during 07, 07, 07 commemoration of the 700th Anniversary of King Edward's death on Burgh Marsh.

Statue created, and gifted by Story Construction Ltd.

Erected 2007 by The Burgh by Sands Sports and Recreation Association.
