The name Golden Meadow is believed to have come from either the acres of golden rods which bloom in the marshes surrounding the area, or from the expectations of golden returns from the land. Early settlers in the area included Benjamin and Louisa . . . Map (db m100001) HM
2 Louisiana, Lafourche Parish, Golden Meadow — Golden Meadow High School
On South Bayou Drive (State Highway 1) 0.1 miles south of Jacob Drive, on the right when traveling south.
