Potawatomi Trail of Death Historical Markers
In 1838 over 850 Potawatomi Indians were forced by gunpoint off their homeland in Indiana and marched approximately 660 miles to the State of Kansas for relocation — causing approximately 42 deaths along the way.GEOGRAPHIC SORT
