1. San Fernando Buildings Marker

Built beginning 1877 for Victoriano Fernandez, the Border Brick style structures were built in stages, possibly accounting for the varying heights. The last of the three buildings was completed in 1886. They were designed as a combination commercial space/private residence, and originally housed Fernandez’s furniture store. Since then, the buildings have been occupied by the San Fernando Hotel, saloons and a variety of commercial establishments.

Construido para Victoriano Fernández, los edificios fueron construidos en etapas. Esto posiblemente explica la variacion de estaturas entre los res edificios. El primero fue terminado en 1877, y el último en 1886. Fueron diseñados como una espacio comercial con viviendas en el segundo piso. Originalmente eran sitio de la tienda de muebles del Sr. Fernández. Desde entonces, han sido ocupados por el Hotel San Fernando, tabernas y varios negocios comerciales.
