1. Ariel Bradley Marker
Inscription. First settler in Springfield Twp in 1806 • Born at Salisbury Conn. in 1767 Died at Mogadore in 1857. Before the Battle of White Plains in 1776 when nine years old he was chosen by Gen. Washington to enter the British lines • Learn their number and distribution • Taking an old horse and a bag of grain under pretence of going to mill • He rode into the British camp and was arrested allowed to go • And returning brought the report to his commander.
 
Erected 1926 by Patriotic Citizens of Mogadore and Daughters of the American Revolution, Akron Chapter.
