1. Dockyard Railway Gate Marker
Inscription.
This gate and posts are relics of the dockyard railway link that used to pass over Edinburgh Road. The track was completed in 1846 and used until 1977. The line was dismantled during the 1980s to allow for landscaping along Unicorn Road.
 
Location. 50° 48.011′ N, 1° 5.567′ W. Marker is in Portsmouth, England, in Hampshire County. Marker is at the intersection of Bishop Crispian and Stanhope Road, on the right when traveling east on Bishop Crispian. Touch for map.
