Inscription.

The library is the brick building on the left, and the marker is just to the right of the library entrance.
The interior is characterised by the use of yellow brick and brick ornamentation. The book hall, which is open to the public, is one of Denmark's most distinctive rooms with its beautifully decorated cast-iron construction. The fresco paintings on the ceiling were made Georg Hilker (1807-75).

The University library is now home to student services and study places for thesis students.
