Regarding Site of the Discovery of the Virgin of Sorrows. The house at this site was occupied by the family of Francisco Anguiano, who had as his housekeeper Ms. Martina N., whom they left to look after the house on the occasion that the whole family had moved to the capital. When she was alone in the house, at night she heard many noises in the attic, so she went to the authorities, asking for help. When they arrived, an inspection was made, in which the only thing that was found was a wooden box, which contained the sculpture of the Virgin of Sorrows. This happened on November 19, 1854. Until now, it is not known how the image came to the attic of the house or who the sculptor was.
