Inscription. Miles and Shirley Fiterman Hall
Borough of Manhattan
Community College/CUNY

By Royal Charter of King George II in 1755, this site became part of the campus of Kings College (the future Columbia University). In 1993, Miles and Shirley Fiterman donated Fiterman Hall to BMCC. As a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the original building sustained irreparable damage. On August 27, 2012 the new Fiterman Hall opened sending a message of hope and renewal to countless generations of future students.
