Inscription. Built by Fleishman Transportation Company (a subsidiary of Standard Brands), this vinegar car tank car was originally constructed of cypress and fir woods. Metal cars could not be used due to the corrosive nature of the vinegar. It was painted silver to reflect sunlight and keep the contents cool. Research suggests this is one of two left in existence. This tank car was donated in 1963 by Standard Brands Industries and restored in 2014 by museum volunteers.

Erected 2014 by Museum of Transportation.
