1. Lowndes Hall Marker
Inscription.  In 1954 Lowndes Hall was completed. This building was named for two members of the Lowndes family - Lloyd, former governor of Maryland, and his son Taster, former President of the Maryland Board of Education.
 
Erected by Student Government Association, Frostburg State University.
 
Location. 39° 39.157′ N, 78° 55.834′ W. Marker is in Frostburg, Maryland, in Allegany County. Marker can be reached from East College Avenue east of Maple Street, on the right when traveling east.
