Samuel J. Friedman was a pioneer publicist who brought the excitement of the theatre to the general public and helped communicate the importance of Broadway as a valued American institution.
Mr. Friedman promoted shows, performers, producers and films. He was a member and officer of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents & Managers.
The Biltmore Theatre, built in 1925, was renamed the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre of September 4, 2008.
