Additional commentary.
1. Original Marker
This marker was a replacement marker for an older version of the marker that was placed by The New Jersey Commission on Historic Sites that is still located at the following coordinates 40.59.835N 074.18.290W near the intersection of Greewich Ave and Newark Pompton Turnpike. The text on both markers is exactly the same. I will also add a photo of the original marker, and it will be easy to see why the marker was replaced.

2. Clarification of Marker Placements
The original 1932 marker, erected by the State of New Jersey, was placed in the wrong location (Riverdale, Morris County) instead of the intended spot in Pompton Lakes, Passaic County. So the new marker on Hamburg Turnpike in Pompton Lakes, sponsored by Passaic County in 2010, corrects this mistake.
