This facility was originally built in 1951 and was the cafeteria for the McCants Middle School. Renovation of the space for Meals on Wheels was completed in 2000 to allow for the expansion of the successful community program, which was begin in 1976, through an effort spearheaded by Lila Albergotti and Lucille Mayo. The new center was made possible by the same generosity of benefactors which has enabled the program to operate through its history.
