Crisfield Historical Museum
The Crisfield Historical Museum includes exhibits of Native American culture, the harvesting and processing of seafood and the general history of the town.

The Governor Tawes Library houses exhibits relating to the 54th governor of Maryland, J. Millard Tawes of Crisfield.

The Ward Brothers Workshop honors the memory of the founders of the art form of decoy carving and painting. Lem and Steve Ward, after whom the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury is named. The Museum offers the Port of Crisfield Escorted Walking Tour.

Smith Island
Smith Island is Maryland’s only inhabited island accessible exclusively by boat. Visitors can board the mail boat at Crisfield and go to Ewell, one of the island’s three towns. There, the Smith Island Cultural Center documents the history of the strong men and stout-hearted women who have preserved their way of life since 1657.

Assateague Island National Seashore
Famous wild horses roam this windswept, 37-mile long barrier island. Other wildlife include the exotic Sika deer and nearly 300 species of birds. Undeveloped white sand beaches and dunes offer a natural setting for camping, swimming and surf fishing, Pristine back bays provide opportunities for clamming, crabbing and canoeing.
