More about this marker. This marker is located at the old Trinity Portland Cement site (which is now cleared). Trinity Portland Cement Company was based in Dallas. The Houston plant located near this marker was shuttered in 1976.
 
Regarding Safety Follows Wisdom. Near identical markers, also erected starting in the mid-1920s, still stand in many small cement communities around America. The practice of awarding these monuments was abandoned during the 1980s, when costs became prohibitive.
