1. Original Site of the First Presbyterian Church Marker
Inscription. Organized May 27, 1827, after twelve years of missionary work by the Presbytery of Mississippi, John Dorrance first minister. Sanctuary dedicated in 1829. Rebuilt in 1854 on the same site and used until 1926 when new building was erected on the northeast corner of North Boulevard and Seventh Street.
