1. The Baker Cabin Marker
Inscription. Oldest surviving house in Star Valley is this two room dwelling built in 1889 by Anna Eliza Baker and her 12 year old daughter May. The logs are hand-hewn on four sides and dovetailed at the corners. It was the first home in this area to have a shingled roof and wood floors. The Baker family; Alonzo, Anna Eliza and their 12 children were the first permanent residents on the east side of Salt River in the lower valley.
 
Erected by Star Valley Historical Society, Camp Eliza - Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Etna Ward Church of Jesus Christ LDS and the Baker Family Descendants.
