1. I Am Steam Locomotive No. 385 Marker
Inscription. I was built in Philadelphia, PA in November 1907. I have seen many things. When I was new, some of the older men who worked with me were young soldiers during the American Civil War. I was still young and new when the Titanic sank. I have seen the birth of 10 American Presidents. I have witnessed the Great Depression of the 1930’s. I have observed two World Wars in the 20th Century. I have moved troops, weapons and supplies during wartime. I have carried leaders to deliver historic speeches. I was in my 62nd year when man walked the moon. Now I wait for you to climb into my cab so that I might carry you back in time.
