Having been acquired in December 2005 for preservation of its open space and historical significance in the community, through funding support from the West Virginia Farmland Protection Board for Berkeley County and the Martinsburg city government, Boydville no longer functions as an Inn / B&B.
Boydville continues to host many community and statewide activities, such as the annual West Virginia Wine and Arts Festival.
