Inscription. A Kewaunee, Wisconsin, native and UW-La Crosse alumnus, Augustine spent his entire 10-year career with the Brewers. Named to the 1976 A.L. All-Rookie Team before enjoying back-to-back 30 start seasons in 1977 and 1978. Started 87 games from 1976 through 1978, amassing 34 wins and 24 complete games in 569 innings. Set a Brewers record with seven consecutive complete games by a left-handed pitcher in 1977. Spent majority of final six seasons pitching in relief, collecting 11 saves in 154 relief appearances. Upon his retirement, Augustine's 279 pitching appearances ranked third in franchise history. Following his Major League career, Augustine coached baseball at UW-Milwaukee and served as a Brewers television analyst.
