Alberto Zoppe
Circus Ring of Fame
Famed as the performer for whose services John Ringling North traded an elephant, he is the fabled patriarch of a family whose circus roots go back 160 years in Italy. His classic bareback equestrian act was featured in C.B. DeMille’s “The Greatest Show on Earth.” The consummate showman, he enhances the Zoppe circus legacy as he continues to perform well into his 80’s.
Erected 2006 by Friends and Family and the Circus Ring of Fame Foundation, Inc.
