on Saipan 1944-1945

Flying B-29 Superfortresses from Isely Field on the Western Pacific island of Saipan, the 73rd Wing - and other units of the U.S. 20th Air Force in the Marianas - contributed signficantly to American victory in that theater of war in World War II.
