Inscription.

Dedicated to the memory and in honor of those gallant men
who served in the 549th Night Fighter Squadron. Their
extraordinary fidelity, indomitable fighting spirit and great
courage, readiness and skill ensured the security of their
assigned air space at all times.

Their heroic actions sustained and enhanced the finest
traditions of the United States Army Air Force.

Activated 1944 • Inactivated 1946
