1. Milton General Store Marker

Inscription. First built as Watkins Dry Goods Store where clothing could be purchased. There was also a school room and you could buy books. Bought by Walter Lea Thomas in 1910 and operated by him and his sons as a general merchandise store and a post office continued to be owned and operated by Edmund Dixon Thomas until 1972.

Erected by The Milton Preservation and Beautification Society.
