Regarding Saticoy Railroad Depot. Built in 1887 by the Southern Pacific Railroad along the line that was being built from Los Angeles to Ventura. The town of Saticoy was laid out near the depot. It’s name comes from the local Chumash village of Sa’aqtik’oy.
This route was bypassed when the railroad through Simi Valley was completed in 1904.
