1. Tunze Saloon Marker

Inscription. This two story building on the corner of Main and Locust was the location of Louis Tunze Pool, Billiards and Saloon and doubled as Gus Tunze's residence. Mr. Gus Tunze was a town trustee from 1903–1904. It was built by the Tunze brothers in the early 1800s and operated as a saloon or tavern, including Greenfield's restaurant, until 2006. This saloon had the oldest, one piece walnut bar in the county, which has been restored for another use and remains inside the building today.
