Inscription. Music was a special aspect of the Centennial Exposition. Features such as the Fisk Jubilee Singers, a large pipe organ, bands, and orchestras filled the structures and the surrounding air with sounds befitting Tennessee's extraordinary musical heritage. In darkness, the Park was transformed by electric lights that outlined the buildings and shimmered in various lakes. Nightly fireworks displays created memories that "remained with the people who saw them throughout their lives."
