1. Riverside County Courthouse Marker
Inscription. The Roman Imperial front and vaulted main hall of the courthouse have been widely pictured since completion in 1904. Designed by Chicago trained architect, Franklin Pierce Burnham, it is a close copy of the Petit Palais or Fine Arts Building of the 1900 Paris Exposition. The county from its beginning in 1893 until 1904 maintained headquarters in the ornate Arlington Hotel, later called Riverside Hotel, University Avenue at Lime.
