As President of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce during 1964-1965, he led the Bethesda Beautification Project under which hundreds of trees were planted along Wisconsin Avenue.
Mr. Lebling served as an Army Air Corps Captain in World War II, and flew his B-26 in 50 European combat missions. He and his devoted wife, Rita, raised six children while he owned and directed a Bethesda-based real estate company.
