El Privilegio de la Unión promulgado por Carlos III, en el que se unieron los tres Burgos-Navarrería, San Cernin y San Nicolás, establecía que éste debía ser el lugar en el que se edificara la casa municipal, entonces llamada jurería, de la nueva ciudad unificada.

City Hall
The Privilegio de la Unión (Privilege of the Union) charter that united the three historical boroughs of the city established that this would be the site on which the city hall of the new, unified city would be built. The present building was built between 1753 and 1759 in the baroque style.
