The Bridge House
These licensed premises are named after a long-lost local landmark. The original Bridge House was a large hotel and public house, on the Borough Parade side of High Street, next to the town bridge. It was demolished in the late 1950s.
The new Bridge House stands on what was a centuries-old island, known as the Isle of Rea.
Erected 2009 by J D Wetherspoon.
