Ålesund, Møre og Romsdal, Norway — Northern Europe (a Nordic Country in Scandinavia)
Kongens gata 10B
Karl Norum was the architect behind the piece of art this building represents - as he also was for several other art nouveau buildings in the city, as a significant part of the reconstruction of Ålesund after the city burned down in 1904. The building was built by tinsmith M. Larsen and has been well taken care of over the years.
This gem was completely brought back to its original form between 2004-2006, which gave the building the honour of receiving both the Norwegian cultural heritage award "Olavsrosa" which is a strict quality assessment done by the professional council - as well as "Godt vern prison" which translates "Wellpreservedprice".
