Inscription.
Our nation honors her sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met.

Raymond W. Tatro • Carlson E. Wallace

On June 25, 1950 the North Korean army invaded South Korea. The president of the United States, Harry S. Truman, committed U.S. troops to aid the South Koreans in defense of their country. After three years of bitter fighting by United States and United Nations forces, a truce was signed on June 27, 1953 keeping South Korea a free democracy. This Korean War Veterans Memorial honors those Americans who answered the call, those who worked and fought under the most trying circumstances, and those who gave their lives for the cause of freedom.

Erected 2000.
