To our Veterans, as protectors of this great nation, we are proud to be able to honor all servicemen and women, past and present.

The original WWII Memorial was built in 1947 by the Veterans of Aurora County VFW Post 6554
 
Erected 2012.
 
Location. 43° 43.067′ N, 98° 29.113′ W. Marker is in Plankinton, South Dakota, in Aurora County. Marker is on Main Street near 5th Street. Touch for map. The memorial is 100 ft south of 5th Street. Marker is in this post office area: Plankinton SD 57368, United States of America.
