1. Matthias Peter Möller Marker
Inscription. Möller was the founder of some of the most successful businesses in Hagerstown's history. He moved his organ factory to Hagerstown in 1881 and it grew to become the largest in the world. it produced over 11,000 instruments before closing in 1992. in 2015, Möller organs were still in use in many prominent venues, including the cadet chapels at the U.S. military, naval and air force academies, Camp David and hundreds of churches and theaters. in 1905, he partnered with Robert Crawford to form the Crawford automobile company. he formed the M.P. Möller Auto Car Company in 1924 and continued in automobile manufacturing until his death. he was also a leading developer in Hagerstown's hotel real estate and banking industries
