Miner's Cabin. A simple life.... Miners lived a very simple life with a few added comforts. Some made lanterns from lard cans, wire and candles, that they used as they traveled to and from work. A miner's day began early and ended ... remember seeing a long trail of light, ... miners traveled between town and the ... A typical lunch consisted of a slice of bread .... maybe a hardboiled egg or a piece ... an apple, slice of pie or piece of cake ... and more women came to Custer.
