Inscription.

"Vio," as he was known to friends, worked as a currency trader for Carr Futures in the World Trade Center's north tower. A 1993 graduate of Susquehanna University and a 1989 graduate of Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J., he loved life and especially loved the people in his life. His enthusiasm, his kindness, and his generous spirit were qualities that attracted so many into his circle.

Chris was a standout offensive linemen on the Susquehanna football team and played for the 1991 South Region Championship squad that advanced to the national semifinals. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, a brotherhood that fostered deep and lasting friendships.

Those who knew Chris remember an ever-present smile on his face. He loved his family, his friends, and the New York Jets in that order — except, perhaps, on fall Sundays. Many observed the caring and compassionate relationship between Chris and his mother, a bond that grew especially strong after the death of his father in 1999. Chris was also a proud uncle to his niece and nephews and reveled in their company — reflecting the joy that embodied his life.

"I regret that I didn't appreciate him more when he was alive," said a friend. "He seemed to be happy all the time and could cheer people up. In his honor, I try to live each day more like him. I smile more. I think positive thoughts. I do the little things he did."
