Colonel Albert R. Neville. . Born December 1921 in Washington, D.C., Colonel Albert R. Neville entered military service in January 1940 as an enlisted man in the US Army. In 1941 he won a competitive appointment to West Point, graduating in 1945 with his wings. , He was training in the B-25 and B-17 when world war two ended and in the F-86 when the Korean Conflict terminated. In between, he earned a masters degree in experimental psychology in 1950 from Ohio State University. Col Neville was assigned as an RF-51 pilot in Furstenfeldbruck, Germany after world war two. After the Korean Conflict, he was assigned to research and development, working in pilot training research and century series fighter development. In 1959 he graduated from Command Staff School, Maxwell AFB in AL. This was followed by five years in the Pentagon in the Career Development Division of Personnel Planning. , He graduated from the US Army War College in 1965 with a masters degree in international Affairs, and remained there as a faculty member until May 1967. Then he became Deputy Commander of Operations of the 33rd Tactical Fighther Wing, Eglin AFB, FL. , Col Neville was Vice Commander of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing, Ubon Air Base, Thailand in January 1969 and in July became Wing Commander of the 354th Tactical Fighter Wing at Kunsan Air Base, Korea until January 1970. , Among his many military decorations are: Air Medal, American Defense Service Medal with Foreign Service Clasp, world war two Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal., Col Neville died on June 9, 2009.
