Inscription. The Mecca Community Church was constructed on what is now State Route 46 in Mecca, Ohio and dedicated in the fall of 1842. Identified as a place where James A. Garfield preached, it was purchased by Hiram College in 2007, reconstructed and dedicated in 2009 as the Garfield Meeting House, home of the Garfield Institute for Public Leadership. On May 12, 2012, it was renamed Koritansky Hall, honoring Professor of Political Science John C. Koritansky.
