In the Middle Ages, here stood the "Gressenhof", first mentioned in written sources in 1317.
The Renaissance-era construction building here was built in the second half of the 16th Century.
From 1830 to 1945 it was the "Hotel Mittelsbacher Hof".
Destroyed by bombs on March 16, 1945.
Reconstructed in 1955 by the Counts of Castell.
On the ground floor, the painting of a group of cherubs is by Johann Peter Wagner, ca. 1775.
