Rodolphe Lemieux
(1866-1937)
Deputé de Gaspé (1896-1911, 1917-1930) et de Rouville (1911-1917) à la Chambre des communes, Rodolphe Lemieux fut solliciteur général, ministre des Postes et du Travail et ministre de la Marine. Il occupa la présidence des Communes de 1922 à 1930, année où il fut nommé au Sénat. En 1907, il parraina la loi Lemieux, gui instaura l'arbitrage dans les relations de travail au Canada. Principal lieutenant de Laurier au Québec, il s'opposa à la conscription, mais préconisa la participation volontaire à la Premier Guerre mondiale.
