D.P. Erwin and Company Building. D. P. Erwin and Company, established in 1884, was one of the largest wholesale dry goods companies in Indianapolis during the 1890s. This building was built as an addition to the D. P. Erwin and Company Building (1889-90) at 206-124 S. Meridian Street. The eastern half was built in 1890 while the western half was built in 1915. The Havens and Geddes Company bought out D. P. Erwin in 1899 and occupied the building until 1928.
