Dedicated May 30, 1998
in memory of
Spec 5 Ambrose J. Cerene
who gave his ultimate
sacrifice to his country.

Born August 8, 1941; killed in
battle Monday, November 20, 1967,
by a Communist sniper's bullet
while engaged in battle near
Dak To, South Vietnam, where
fierce fighting had been
underway.
The victim, Olyphant's only
serviceman to die in the
Vietnam Conflict, was assigned
to the 4th Army [sic - Infantry] Division.
He was awarded the Purple
Heart and Gold Star.


 
Erected 1998 by American Legion.
