1. The Evangelican Lutheran Church of West Berlin Marker

Inscription. The original church was completed in 1862. The Gutermuths (Goodermote) and the Jordans (Verton) were among some of the first German settlers to establish this church. The German language was spoken until 1910. In 1967 fire damaged the rear portion of the church but was soon repaired. In October 1968, the entire church was destroyed by fire. By the spring of 1969, a new church was constructed. In May 1982, the 2nd church was completely destroyed by fire.

This monument is in memory of its founders and past members who belonged to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of West Berlin.
