Inscription.  The Griggsville community would like to thank the men and women of the Armed Forces, who have served or are serving now, to protect our freedom. Let us not forget them, today, tomorrow, forever.
 
Erected 2005.
 
Location. 39° 42.508′ N, 90° 43.528′ W. Marker is in Griggsville, Illinois, in Pike County. Memorial is on Purple Martin Boulevard (Quincy Street), in the median. The marker is beside the American Flag in the median of the boulevard. The plaque is on the side facing west. There is parking on both sides of the boulevard so the marker is easy to get to.
