1. Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter Marker
Inscription. Blues singer from Mooringsport, La. (1888-1949). He played 12 string guitar on Shreveport’s Fannin St., sang his way out of prison, and became a folk hero with songs like “Goodnight Irene,” “Bourgeois Blues,” and “Midnight Special.”
 
Erected 1982 by Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism. (Marker Number 340.)
